'Defending the transgressed'

Here is a fatwa (via Yusuf Smith), which thoroughly refutes the views of Omar Bakri Muhammad, entitled "Defending the Transgressed by Censuring the Reckless against the Killing of Civilians", by Shaykh Muhammad Afifi al-Akiti, a Shafi'i jurist from Malaysia. You can add this rebuttal to the long list already out there.
