Madrasas Slowly Warm to Computers

"But why not teach math and science, along with computer literacy? "Islamic studies is a vast subject in itself," Naeemi said. "How will the students find time for other things? Computers are important to their future. That's why we decided to teach them computers. And we decided that on our own. We didn't do it because Musharraf asked us to change." "

Thebit have you read the newly released Trouble of Islam by Irshad Manji ( and when will you review it?

Yes, I've seen the book, skimmed through it. Haven't read it though. I have my own thoughts, but since I haven't read it, I'd prfer not to comment just yet.

So you're better off asking Haroon at Avari-Nameh to do a review (if he has come across it) -- he does a better job than me anyway.
