I am not sure about the "worst elements" that you have in your mind. It may be that you are making some finer point that I must have missed completely.

I hope its not irrelevant but at some point in history muslim societies developed an infatuation for all things "modern" (or "European"). As Malik Bennabi puts it, this was an entropic evolution when they failed to concentrate on the "creation" but absorbed themselves in acquiring thereby accumulating the needs and neglecting the means.

I don't think the anti-Semitism is anything to do with Europe. In Europe it sprang up hundreds of years ago as revenge for what they regard as the killing of Christ. Clearly in the Muslim world this is not the view, but is more an illogical reaction to the creation of Israel.

But the anti-Semitism displayed by many in Muslim (specifcially Arab) countries resembles the hate-filled bile against Jews in the from late 19th/early 20th century Europe. It is specifically modern amd they've adopted the worst elements of what modern Europe has created like the strident and ugly forms of nationalism and totalitarianism. The good factes (rule of law, robust judiciary, human rights) have been put aside or ignored.
